Fortnite Winterfest Begins: Where To Find Ice Boxes And Get Festive Skins

Epic Games is celebrating Christmas for Fortnite fans with a new event that allows players to open up to 14 gifts. The gifts are all free of charge, and everyone can get them. They are all exclusive to this year's Winterfest and will be available for 14 days.

Each day for the two weeks of the event, a new gift will be available for players to open. If players miss a day and the gift, they have until January 7th to come in and open them up. The gifts are accessed in the in-game lobby via the new snowflake tab. Clicking that tab takes players to the Winterfest Lodge.

The 14 gifts include two outfits, two gliders, two pickaxes, two wraps, one emote, and more. Also, at the Winterfest Lodge are stockings hanging on the fireplace. Check your stocking each day to get a new challenge that can be completed for rewards and XP. Players who miss a day of checking their stocking can come back and do so through January 7th. One of the challenges will have you searching for ice boxes, the image above shows where you can find them.

Fortnite is also unvaulting weapons and returning LTMs for the holidays. Each day between December 18th and January 2nd a new LTM will be available to play. These include Wick's Bounty, Arsenal, and more. Zone Wars will also run through the holidays. One of the gifts is a glider in the shape of the Millennium Falcon.

The cabin is said to be very festive and cool with Easter eggs all around; you can zoom in on the fireplace and set it as a virtual monitor background to earn XP. The last big Fortnite news we talked about was the Rise of Skywalker update that kicked off last weekend.
