Fitbit Launches a Quartet Of New Wearables Including $160 Versa Lite
Fitbit has some of the more popular and affordable wearables on the market today. It and Apple are credited with driving some of the growth in the wearable market. In order to keep that momentum going, Fitbit has now announced four new wearables that aim at different price points.
The first is a new product that slots into the Versa line called the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition. It's an everyday smartwatch that has most of the core fitness and smart features that the Versa is known for. The device can monitor your heart rate 24/7 and monitors Sleep Stages as well. Support for over 15 goal-based exercise modes is integrated, and the Versa Lite connects to a smartphone for notifications. This wearable also has a relative SpO2 sensor to track oxygen levels in the blood. It will sell for $159.99 and is billed as the cheapest Fitbit yet that supports core functionality.
The Fitbit Inspire HR is the most affordable 24/7 heart rate monitor that the company offers at $99.99. It supports all day automatic activity and exercises tracking along with Sleep Stages tracking. The wearable also has over 15 exercise-based goals, connected GPS, and Relax guided breathing. The Fitbit Inspire is a similar device selling for $69.95 that has no heart rate tracking capability but keeps the activity tracking most people want. Both of those wearables are swim-proof and have up to five days of battery life.
The wearable aimed at kids is called the Fitbit Ace 2, and it's for kids ages six and up. The idea is to teach kids healthy habits at an early age and encourage them to spend time with family and friends.
