Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Snapdragon 845 Flagship Once Again Leaks To Geekbench

At the end of March, we got our first glimpse at how the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone would perform when it turned up on Geekbench rocking a Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB of RAM. Those first benchmarks showed single core performance of 2190 and a multicore score of 8806.

The Note 9 has turned up again on Geekbench with a new round of scores for us to look at. You can see the Geekbench screenshot below. The new scores give a much-improved single-core Score of 2411. The multi-core score is down a bit from that initial run with 8712. The system information calls out the identical Samsung SM-N960U model number. The other system information is identical to the March listing.

As for when the Note 9 will get official, it's expected to be unveiled at an Unpacked event in August. As for what the Galaxy Note 9 will look like, expect it to be very similar to the Note 8 smartphone. The bezels for the screen are expected to be very thin with screen resolution expected to be QHD+. The Snapdragon 845 version seen in both Geekbench runs is the U.S. version; a version running an Exynos 9810 will be sold in other markets.

Power is expected to come from a 3300+ mAh battery and the smartphone will have the now requisite water and dust resistance that all high-end devices offer today. One of the real questions is will the device offer enough of an upgrade from the Note 8 to woo buyers to upgrade. The smartphone market, in general, has been stagnant with much of that due to minimal differences between models not luring in buyers.
