GameStop to Launch 80 Holiday Pop-Up Stores For Kids

If your kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews aren't already into the whole GameStop scene, they might be by the time the holiday shopping season concludes. That's because the new and used gamer retailer plans to open around 80 'GameStop Kids' holiday store locations in select malls throughout the U.S., the company announced.

The kid friendly stores will feature lots of themed accessories, plush toys, collectibles, action figures, and of course video games. Specifically, you'll find items like a Chewbacca 9-inch plus, Angry Birds mugs, Minecraft Foam Sword, Batman Beatz Beanies, Stay Puft backpack clip, and much more.

"We are always striving to make the shopping experience better for holiday gift givers," said Bob Puzon, GameStop’s vice president of merchandising. "GameStop Kids takes that one step further by having the hottest brands and products that people of all ages can love – from Star Wars and LEGO to modern favorites like Skylanders Giants."

You can count on lots of Angry Birds and Hello Kitty content, as well. The first location opened at the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas, with several dozen more slated to open in the coming days and weeks. You can find a location near you (and browse a catalog of items) by visiting GameStop.com/Kids. If you don't happen to live by one, GameStop says you can stop into any of its regular stores and place an order for GameStop Kids products, with free shipping.
