Alleged GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q Benchmarks Leak, Will Empower 2019 Class of Gaming Notebooks
It's a safe bet that NVIDIA will eventually port its GeForce RTX series over to mobile, the big unknowns are when they will arrive and how the performance will shake out. Well, if leaked benchmarks are any indication, then they will likely be arriving relatively soon, with modest-to-impressive performance bumps over the current generation of Pascal GPUs.
This is based in part on a database entry for the Final Fantasy XV benchmark. There's a new listing that shows a GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q design, with a score of 3,080. By itself, that doesn't mean much, but it compares favorably to some heavy hitting parts. Here's a look...

The leaked GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q score suggests that NVIDIA will continue to show strong performance in high-end gaming laptops. That said, we'll temper our enthusiasm until we see what the pricing looks like. While the GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q is shown outperforming Pascal parts with higher model numbers, it's the pricing that will offer more meaningful points of comparison.
According to a previous leak, NVIDIA is readying a whole bunch of mobile RTX GPUs. They include the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q Mobility, Geforce RTX 2070 Mobility, GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q Mobility, GeForce RTX 2060 Ti Mobility, GeForce RTX 2060 Mobility, GeForce RTX 2050 Ti Mobility, and GeForce RTX 2050 Mobility.
The new GPUs are expected to launch at or just prior to the Consumer Electronics Show next month.
