Gigabyte Unleashes Kaby Lake And Pascal Fury With Sabre 15 And P56 Gaming Notebooks

The P56 manages to cram in a Core i7-7700HQ processor and a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics and into a 15.6-inch frame. The notebook comes standard with a 1080p display, but if you pony up some additional dollars, you can opt for a 4K (3840x2160) display. The P56 features an island-style backlit RGB keyboard with individually-lit keys (giving users a choice of over 16.8 million colors), Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, and a massive 91 WHr battery to keep the hungry CPU and GPU fed.

The Sabre 15 is a little less ambitious. It too can be equipped with Core i7 processors, but instead goes for entry-level GeForce GTX 1050 or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics. However, either GPU should be more than enough to provide smooth 1080p gaming performance, which is its primary mission given that the Sabre 15 is being aimed at the eSports market. The Sabre 15 features scissor-type keys, and can be upgraded with optional RGB key lighting. It can even be optioned up with a UHD Blu-ray drive.

For those that prefer a smaller and lighter form-factor, there’s the AERO 14 Series (available in black, green, or orang), which includes a 14-inch (2560x1440) display, GeForce GTX 1060 graphics and a 92 WHr battery (which provides 10 hours of battery life) in a 4.16-pound device.

Gigabyte is also promoting the P34 and the P35. The P34 is being billed as the world lightest GeForce GTX 1050 Ti notebook, weighing in at just 3.72 pounds. The P35 is the world’s slimmest notebook equipped with a GeForce GTX 1070, measuring in at just 0.82 inches thick. The notebook is equipped with a 15.6-inch 3840x2160 IPS display, and a swappable storage bay that allows you to choose from a Blu-ray drive or up to 2TB of additional storage.

Pricing and availability has not yet been announced for Gigabyte’s latest notebook lineup.
