Google Pixel 3 Leaks Showing Its Notch-Less 5.5-inch Face And Dual Selfie Cams
Unless previous leaks got things grossly wrong, Google is going to release two Pixel 3 models, one with a display notch and one without it. We have seen plenty of leaked photos of the Pixel 3 XL, which is the one that will have a notch (presumably), but now there is a new batch of photos that show the regular Pixel in real-life form. Supposedly, of course.
When it comes to this sort of thing, we can never be sure. However, as we get closer to Google's Pixel 3 series launch, it seems likely that the latest batch of photos is legitimate, especially considering the other information that is already out there. It's also noteworthy that this is the first leak we are aware of that shows an actual Pixel 3 (as opposed to a press render or mockup).
An anonymous person uploaded the photos to Imgur and posted a link on Reddit. While perhaps the photos are not of the best quality, we do get to see the non-XL Pixel 3 from various angles, including the front, back, and side.
There are no real surprises here. The front shot shows a 5.5-inch display with a bezel up top, rather than an all-screen frontside with a notch like the Pixel 3 XL has. You can also see the dual selfie cameras situated in the bezel, towards the left of the handset.
According to one of the screenshots, the Pixel 3 XL has a 2160x1080 resolution (2:1 aspect ratio) with a 60Hz refresh rate, 440dpi pixel density, and HDR support. It also reveals that the front cameras are both 8 megapixels.
Based on previous rumors and leaks, the Pixel 3 is expected to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and Adreno 630 GPU underneath the hood, along with 4GB of RAM. And of course it will ship with Android 9.0 Pie.
The new Pixel devices will likely be revealed at a press event in New York City on October 9.
