Google Pixel 3a Full Specs Leak Confirm Snapdragon 670, 4GB RAM And 3000 mAh Battery
The Google I/O 2019 event is kicking off in just a few hours (at the time of this writing), or is already underway, depending on when you are reading this. Among other things, it's expected that Google will formally launch its Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL phones. There may not be many surprises, though, as there have been numerous leaks up to this point. The latest one divulges the supposed final spec sheet of the Pixel 3a.
Previous rumors pointed to the Pixel 3a being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor. This latest leak seemingly confirms that, along with the presence of 4GB of RAM and a 3,000 mAh battery pack (non-removable, we suspect).

Here's a look at the Pixel 3a's pertinent specs...
- Display: 5.6-inch FHD+ (2220x1080, 441 ppi, 18:9) OLED
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC
- GPU: Adreno 615
- RAM: 4GB LPDDR4x
- Storage: 64GB
- Front Camera: 8-Megapixel
- Rear Camera: 12.2-Megapixel
- Battery: 3,000 mAh
- OS: Android 9 Pie
There aren't any curveballs here—we have seen these specs attached to the Pixel 3a in previous leaks, and if this last-minute one is any indication, they were correct.
What remains to be answered is if the larger Pixel 3a XL will use the same Snapdragon 670 SoC, as some rumors have suggested, or get bumped up to a slightly faster Snapdragon 710 SoC. We have seen leaks point to both. With Google I/O 2019 getting underway, however, we will have an answer shortly (assuming Google doesn't wait until the event's second or third and final day).
Either way, both the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are firmly entrenched in mid-range territory. Google's regular Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL handsets will still serve as the company's flagship handsets, at least until the eventual Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL rear their heads.
The other interesting thing to note is that the Pixel 3a series will launch with Android 9.0 Pie installed, and not Android Q. That's because Android Q is not yet available, and Google is expected to unveil the third beta of the upcoming OS during Google I/O 2019 rather than the final release. As a first-party device family, however, you can bank on the Pixel 3a phones being among the first to receive Android Q when it becomes available.
