Google Pixel 4 Retail Box Leaks, Pixel 3 Rumored For Tech Graveyard

Google Pixel 4 Retail Box
Pictures of the actual retail packaging (read: not press renders) for Google's forthcoming Pixel 4 handset are popping up online, giving us a sneak peek at the company's next flagship handset. The photos also enable us to discern a few details about the Pixel 4, though there are not any surprises.

The Pixel 4 series has been extensively leaked up to this point, so we have a pretty idea of what to expect in terms of the overall design, hardware, and features. In the photos shared to Reddit, however, we have confirmation of a large square camera bump on the rear of the phone. We can also see a "G" stamped onto the bottom section, on the back of the Pixel 4.

Both the front and back of the retail packaging depicts the rear of the Pixel 4. One of the shots shows the handset laying face down on a wooden table, and in it we can clearly see a white lock button. We can also see a couple of pull tabs on the retail box to make opening it easy (exciting stuff, right?).

Another photo of the box highlights some basic specs and what's included inside. Lest there was any doubt, the Pixel 4 features a 5.7-inch display. This particular model is the Just Black variant with 64GB of internal storage.

The phone comes with an 18W USB-C power adapter, charging cable, and Quick Switch Adapter. Sadly, it does not appear as though Google will be bundling any earphones or a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter.

T-Mobile Teases Google Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL Launch

T-Mobile CEO John Legere is also getting into the pre-release hype. Over on Instagram, Legere posted a photo ostensibly focused on bread pudding, but it is the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL boxes on the counter that are the real treat. It's safe to say the phones will be available on T-Mobile at launch.

The new Pixel devices are expected to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC inside, 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of storage, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and dual cameras on the rear (12MP + 16MP). Full specs will be announced at launch tomorrow, October 15.

This means the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are on their way out. Both are available at a discount currently—Google is selling the Pixel 3 starting at $499 (down from $799) and the Pixel 3 XL starting at $599 (down from $899). They're even cheaper on Amazon, where you can snag a Pixel 3 for $459.99 and a Pixel 3 XL for $551.06.
