First Gen Google Pixel 128GB Hits $399 Unlocked For Android Deal Shoppers

If you're looking for a great [and aging] flagship Android smartphone, B&H Photo is currently running a pretty good deal on the original Google Pixel. The Pixel launched in late 2016 and brought with it a sleek new design direction for Google's first-party smartphones and introduced us to Google's spectacular camera system.

Right now, you can grab the 32GB variant for $329.99, while the 128GB variant rings in just $399. Both of those prices include free expedited shipping and you'll only pay tax if you live in the state New York. While these smartphones no longer feature bleeding edge hardware, their specs are nothing to scoff at.

Pixel XL Phone and Charge

Both smartphones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 12.3MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. For those that prefer a more pocketable device instead of the massive-screened behemoths that are being released these days, the Google Pixel comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080p.

The Google Pixel (and its larger Google Pixel XL sibling) came out of the box with Android 7.1 Nougat installed, but is upgradeable to the current Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. In addition, the Google Pixel can also take the plunge with the upcoming Android P operating system, which is currently in developer preview form.

We should note, however, that Android P will be the last operating system that the Pixel and Pixel XL will receive. Google is guaranteeing that both smartphones will receive major operating system updates through October 2018 (which includes Android P), but will only receive security patches through October 2019, after which all support will be dropped.

But for this price, we can't really complain too much about that...
