G.SKILL Trident Z RGB Reigns As World's Fastest DDR4 Memory Kit At 4700MHz

G.SKILL claims that the memory kit runs at a dizzying speed of 4700MHz with timings of CL19-19-19-39. The memory operates at 1.45 volts, and is available in a 16GB kit (2x8GB). As is typically the case with these ultra-fast memory kits, the Trident Z RGB makes use of Samsung DDR4 B-die ICs.

According to G.SKILL, the memory was validated on an MSI Z370I Gaming Pro Carbon AC motherboard with an Intel Core i7-8700K processor. It also supports the Intel XMP 2.0 profile to make one-click memory overclocking possible.

"Ever since the first release announcement of the G.SKILL Trident Z RGB series at the end of 2016, DDR4-4266MHz had reigned as the highest frequency speed for an RGB memory kit," writes G.SKILL. "Over the past year, the G.SKILL R&D team has been dedicated to break through this technology bottleneck and aimed to provide an even higher speed RGB memory to PC enthusiasts. Today, all the hard work is finally paying off."

While all of this sounds awesome, you're going to have to wait a bit to get your hands on the Trident Z RGB DDR4-4700 memory kit. G.SKILL says that it won't begin shipping to its distributors until the second quarter, which means that the earliest that we will see these modules on store shelves is in April.
