GTA Online: Cunning Stunts Is Trackmania Meets Burnout, Launches July 12th
For those that prefer to take part in stunts, yet lack the patience and timing required to fully exploit Grand Theft Auto V’s physics engine, there’s Cunning Stunts. This GTA Online expansion brings a Trackmania-inspired game mode that is even more insane than the usual racing modes that you’d find in GTA Online multiplayer.
Always known for delivering over-the-top gameplay, Rockstar Games has designed multiple racing venues with vehicles that “tear upside-down through loops and tubes, launch off ramps with extra propulsion from speed strips, diverge and merge across multiple pathways, and speed through gigantic rings of fire.” For those of that grew up racing and bashing Hot Wheels with friends (minus the rings of fire… hopefully), this is a digital trip down memory lane.
The game will feature specific vehicle class including super cars, sports cars and motorbikes, which should be more than enough to fuel your motoring needs. And we can only hope that inventive gamers will be able to design their own tracks to keep the fun going once they tire of the included tracks.
GTA Online: Cunning Stunts launches on July 12 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you’re still rocking a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, you’re out of luck.
