GTA Online's Upcoming Beach Bum Update to Introduce New Jobs, Vehicles, and Weapons

Forget about all the patches and updates Rockstar Games has rolled out to date in order to get Grand Theft Auto Online up to snuff. The first real update -- one that's not intended to fix broken content, but introduce new gameplay -- is scheduled to arrive next week on Tuesday, November 19th, the developer announced. It's called Beach Bum and it will be automatically added to GTA Online through its next title update (version 1.06).

Beach Bum will introduce a pair of new weapons to play with, including the compact (yet deadly) SNS Pistol and, for you street brawlers, a Broken Bottle for melee combat. Both will be available for free from any Ammu-Nation location in GTA Online, and once grabbed will be added straight into each of the three characters' inventory in Story Mode.

Rockstar also promises a "slew of new action-packed jobs" with the update, such as beach-themed races, deathmatches, parachutes, last team standings, survivals, gang attacks, and more.

What would new jobs be without some additional vehicles? Rockstar Games plans to deliver those as well. You'll have access to four sand-and-surf ready vehicles, all of which will be free. Like the new weapons, you'll find these in story mode, too.

Finally, Beam Bum will offer some new character customization options, things like board shorts, neon surfer attire, wild tribal tattoos, shaggy hair, and more.
