Happy Halloween! And Some News Too!

Good morning HotHardware Fans!  Happy Halloween!  I'm sure most of you are busy getting the little ones ready for some trick-or-treating, or are getting yourselves ready for a Halloween party, but if you've got a few minutes, we've got some news.  Things have been a little slow this weekend, but something tells me that's about to change.  Check back in a few hours and you'll see what I mean...

 Intel i915 - DDR or DDR2? @ HWSpirit:

"Our purpose with this review is not to compare the particular two Intel motherboards, but to use them just to show the difference between the performance provided by Intel 915G/P chipset using DDR and DDR2 memory. That's why we are going to compare a configuration using DDR400 (INTEL D915GAV) and DDR2-533 (INTEL D915PBL) memory."

OCZ EL DDR PC-3700 Platinum Review @ Xtremeresources.Com:

"The SPD programming of the OCZ PC3700 modules were set at 2.5 – 3 – 3 – 8 timings at 200 MHz. However, do not let these initial timings fool you at all. Taken from the OCZ Product Press Release and herein quoted: "Building on our success with low latency memory, OCZ now has the fastest CAS 2 memory available on the market," said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "In recent months, users would have to choose between having a low CAS latency but also corresponding low operating frequency, or a high CAS latency, with a higher operating frequency. Neither option was especially attractive. Now users can have the best of both worlds: Low CAS latency and a high operating frequency." My findings will confirm what the press release stated – so please keep reading."

 DFI LANParty 875P-T Motherboard Review @ ClubOverclocker.Com:

"DFI has really made a name for themselves in the enthusiast market. A few years ago DFI was an unknown to most of us. The LANParty and Infinity series boards have really put this company on the market as a major player in performance boards. It's great to see a manufacturer cater to the needs of the overclocker and gamer. Other boards offer overclocking and some are very good at it, but DFI takes it up a notch by including some really kewl features just for us geeks that go to LAN parties."

How virtual web hosting works @ IceTeks:

"If you ever wonder how it's possible for servers to take requests for many domains and know which one to serve up, this article is for you. The secret is in a mandatory HTTP header field and it's actually quite simple."

That's just about going to do it for this installment.  Now I've got to go get ready for the onslaught of kids!  I've got 13 nieces and nephews who are all going to want to show Uncle Marco their costumes!
