HBO Go App Updated To Work With Most Flavors Of Android

HBO Go remains one of the most polarizing applications out there, largely because of just how amazing it is. It's a beautifully designed app, but for whatever reason, HBO refuses to allow it to function unless you are a paying HBO subscriber. Many say that HBO could charge a staggering amount per month for people who just wanted HBO Go access, but with such intense ties to pay-TV providers, it's unlikely that HBO will change that anytime soon. That said, those who do pony up monthly for the channel can now use it on even more Android products. As of this week, the newly updated HBO Go Android app supports Ice Cream Sandwich, Honeycomb and "most" versions of Gingerbread. Screen sizes between 3.5" and 11" are supported, and the release supports Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks and Insight subscribers who subscribe to HBO.

For those of you who fit the bill, enjoy your updated app. For everyone else: we'll keep waiting for HBO to get with the digital revolution.
