Hennessy's Heritage Edition Mustang Is An 808HP Retro-Styled Pony Beast Machine

The guys over at Hennessey Performance have kicked off the celebration of their 10,000th vehicle being produced. That 10,000 number includes the awesome Venom GT supercar we showed you not long ago, but this new commemorative vehicle comes in the form of a very slick 2019 Hennessey Heritage Edition Mustang. The car sports a very cool livery that was inspired by the 2018 Ford GT Heritage Edition that is red and white, with some cool striping and a number badge on the doors.

The heart of this car is a Ford 5.0L V8 engine that can be backed by a choice of factory Ford transmission, including the 10-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual. The engine gets a giant 3.0L supercharger bolted on top that slurps air that is cooled via an air-to-water intercooler. The result is 808 hp at 7,200 rpm and 677 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. The car can fly from naught to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and blast the quarter mile in 10.7-seconds at 132 mph. It's not clear which transmission that quarter mile run was made with, presumably the automatic as they tend to be faster and Hennessey would want its best foot forward.

This beastly pony ride will hit a top speed of over 200mph. The package on the Mustang includes lots more than a supercharger and fancy paint. The fuel system, including fuel injectors and fuel pump, are upgraded along with the addition of a high-flow air induction system. The front of that car is fitted with a CarbonAero front carbon splitter, CarbonAero side sills are on the sides of the car, and the rear CarbonAero spoiler has an integrated Gurney lip.

The exhaust system is updated with a stainless-steel setup and Heritage Mustang's suspension is lowered. The car rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires. As an option, buyers can add giant 6-piston front and 4-piston rear Brembo brakes with 15.1-inch rotors.

Each car also gets a numbered engine and dash plaque with only 19 units being made. Each of the cars sells for $89,950 and carries a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty, along with the factory 3/36,000 warranty.
