HTC Nexus One Solves Rubik's Cube In Just 12.5 Seconds

Are you smarter than your smartphone? And how "smart" is that "smart"phone, anyway? At the ARM Developer Conference in Silicon Valley this week, we found out. An HTC Nexus One smartphone was able to solve a Rubik's Cube in 12.5 seconds, which is probably far quicker than you ever could. No offense.

It's possible that this was the fastest time ever for an electronically solved Rubik's Cube. There's a video here which shows the current 3x3x3 cube-solver’s 15-second average, while the video beneath that shows an ARM-powered Android solve of a 7x7x7. The technology behind this all is rather impressive, and detailed in the via link. But by now, you've probably already drifted away to watch the videos. Without a doubt, they are the most impressive parts.
