Intel Core i9-9900T 8-Core, 16-Thread CPU Leads 9th Gen Coffee Lake Refresh Lineup
Intel has been having a bear of a time keeping Coffee Lake Refresh processors that have not yet been released under wraps. Leak after leak have provided curious folks such as ourselves with unofficial glimpses of the not-yet-released Coffee Lake Refresh CPUs, several of which have now been posted on a UK retailer's website.
To be clear, Intel has already launched some Coffee Lake Refresh processors, including the Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K, and Core i5-9600K. All three of those 9th generation Core processors based on Intel's Coffee Lake Refresh architecture debuted last October. However, the full lineup is still trickling out, with some new lower power CPUs in the wings.

Frequent leaker and Twitter user @momomo_us brought to attention several product listings at Kikatek, including a Core i9-9900T processor. Apparently the new parts are set to launch on May 15.
The Core i9-9900T is an 8-core/16-thread processor with a 2.1GHz base clock. There is no mention of a Turbo frequency, though it will be one of several new processors with a 35W TDP. Here's a breakdown of what's coming...
- Core i9-9900T: 8 cores / 16 threads, 2.1GHz, 35W TDP
- Core i7-9700T: 8 cores / 8 threads, 2.0GHz, 35W TDP
- Core i5-9600T: 6 cores / 6 threads, 2.3GHz, 35W TDP
- Core i5-9400T: 6 cores / 6 threads, 1.8GHz, 35W TDP
- Core i3-9300T: 4 cores / 4 threads, 3.2GHz, 35W TDP
- Core i3-9100T: 4 cores / 4 threads, 3.1GHz, 35W TDP
- Pentium G5600T: 2 cores / 4 threads, 3.3GHz, 35W TDP
- Pentium G5420T: 2 cores / 4 threads, 3.2GHz, 35W TDP
- Pentium G4930T: 2 cores / 2 threads, 3.0GHz, 35W TDP
These are all built on Intel's 14-nanometer++ node. The "T" at the end of the model numbers denotes a low power chip, which in this case is just 35W. The Core processors are bound to have Turbo clocks, though that information is not yet available, nor is there mention of the cache arrangement on these chips. As for the Pentium parts, those are expected to arrive without Turbo Boost.
Intel's MSRPs for these chips remains to be seen, though the retailer did provide a couple of prices in its listings...
- Core i9-9900T: £454.63 (~$593 in US currency)
- Core i7-9700T: £337.68 (~$441 in US currency)
Keep in mind that pricing can (and often does) vary by territory, rather than abiding by a straight conversion. However, this at least gives us a couple of ballpark figures.
If the rumored release date holds true, then Intel will be making these new processors official a couple of weeks ahead of Computex, where AMD is expected to unveil its Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) CPUs and perhaps its Navi GPU.
