Is This Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4 Launching At IFA 2018?

Galaxy Tab S4
We have been waiting for Samsung to formally introduce its Galaxy Tab S4 for several months now. There were rumors that it would see an unveiling at Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year, but that event came and went without any mention of Samsung's next generation tablet. Now the talk has shifted to IFA 2018, and lending credence to that are what look to be official press renders.

John Anon, the editor-in-chief of AndroidHeadlines, claims to have come across the purported official press renders by way of a "reliable source." They certainly look official to us, and we prefer these kind of leaks over the ones that consist of blurry photos in poor lighting, as if they were taken with a Fisher Price camera in a semi-dark setting.

One of the rumors going around is that the Galaxy Tab S4 will be available in both black and gray color options. Anon was not able to confirm the gray color option, but if the press renders are legitimate, then obviously there will at least be a black model.

Looking at the renders, the Galaxy Tab S4 looks similar to the current generation Galaxy Tab S3. The logo is further down on the Galaxy Tab S4, but otherwise the overall design is basically the same, including the rear camera placement with LED flash. The same goes for the power button and volume rocker placement on the side of the tablet.

Previous rumors also peg the Galaxy Tab S4 as having a 10.5-inch display, making it a larger tablet the Galaxy Tab S3, which sports a 9.7-inch display. According to a Geekbench entry earlier this year, the Galaxy Tab S4 will also arrive with an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 340 graphics, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage.

IFA 2018 is scheduled to run from August 31 to September 5.
