Kingston Technology Attacks Memory Market With Savage DDR4 RAM Kits
With a name like "Savage," you better bring fast speeds and aggressive timings, and that's exactly what Kingston does here. The HyperX Savage DDR4 line is available in speeds up to 3,000MHz with built-in XMP-ready profiles optimized for Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
"We are excited to present this new high speed, yet power efficient memory for those gamers and enthusiasts looking to maximize system performance," said Lawrence Yang, business manager, HyperX. "HyperX Savage DDR4 offers consumers standout performance and with its asymmetrical die-cast aluminum, low-profile heat spreader and matching black PCB a standout look to upgrade any system."
The Savage line can be purchased in kits up to 64GB, though be sure to see what your motherboard supports before maxing on this or any other brand of memory. Kingston says its DDR4 Savage modules can run as low 1.2V and max out at 1.35V.
As for memory timings, it depends on the speed. They range from 12-13-13-13 (2133MHz) to 14-14-14-15 (3,000MHz), though they can also vary module capacity.
The HyperX Savage DDR4 memory line is available now direct from Kingston.
