The Last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Drag Strip Monster Rolls Off The Assembly Line

It hasn't been that long since Fiat-Chrysler first announced the sweet Challenger SRT Demon was coming to sit atop the Dodge muscle car line. The beast packs in 840hp and a bunch of other features to make it a true monster at the strip capable of 9.65-second runs in the quarter mile. Dodge was always clear that the Demon was a limited-edition car with only 3,300 units slated to be built.

The very last Demon, number 3,300, has rolled off the FCA Canadian assembly line and it won’t go into some museum somewhere never to be seen again. Dodge is taking that special car and putting it up for auction with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. The last Demon is being combined with the last 2017 Dodge Viper and they are being auctioned off as a pair.

That last Viper is wearing Viper Red paint and while the Demon rolled off the line clad in black, it will get a respray by hand to match the same Viper Red hue. The Demon will also come with 18-inch aluminum wheels, 18-inch Demon drag radial tires, Demon vehicle badging, and a special one-of-a-kind VIN instrument panel badge.

The Viper included with the package is the last built packing an 8.4L V10 engine with 645hp. It's not one of the wild looking massively winged Vipers ready for the road course; it's more of a basic looking ride that was styled to pay homage to the first-generation Viper. The Viper has a VIN ending in 731948 and has exterior carbon fiber bits, black Alcantara seats, and an exclusive VIN instrument panel badge and authentication kit.

The cars will be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson at the 2018 Barrett-Jackson 3rd Annual Auction at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Dodge and Barrett-Jackson are expecting big money for these cars. When Hellcat VIN0001 went up for auction a few years ago it brought $1.65 million alone. All proceeds from the new auction will go to the United Way.
