Leadtek Broadens its Product Base in 06
After outsourcing their graphics card production to Foxconn back in May, Leadtek is now setting its sights on expanding their other product lines for 2006. Digitimes reports that Leaktek is looking to gain market share in GPS and Videophone sectors, with major growth expected in their GPS product line as they continue to develop applications for automobiles and PDAs.
Meanwhile, the contribution of Leadtek's GPS product line will increase phenomenally next year, buoyed by new orders of car-use GPS modules from unspecified customers in Europe and the US, the company expects. Car and PDA applications are currently Leadtek's major growth drivers for the GPS segment, the company indicated.
