Earlier this month, Google unveiled its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, which represent the search giant’s ground-up vision of what a modern Android flagship should be. Packing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processors under the hood, the new Pixels gave sticker shock to enthusiasts that have been accustomed to the relatively budget pricing of the preceding Nexus family of smartphones.

But for those of you that still would like a smartphone with a flagship-worthy SoC minus the flagship price, LeEco has you covered with the new Le Pro 3. Although the Le Pro 3 is still running Android 6.0 Marshmallow instead of Android 7.0 Nougat, it does include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with 4GB RAM. You’ll receive a generous 5.5-inch FHD display (covered in Gorilla Glass 3) as opposed to a more flagship-worthy QHD display, but as you’ll see later — we won’t hold it against the Le Pro 3. Other features include 64GB of internal storage, a 16MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, a fingerprint scanner, QuickCharge 3.0 support, and a massive 4070 mAh battery.

If you’ve been unhappy at the direction that Motorola and Apple has taken by getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack, you won’t be happy with LeEco here with the Le Pro 3. Like the Moto Z/Moto Z Force and iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus, the Le Pro 3 doesn’t include a headphone jack; it instead relies on a solitary USB-C port to power your audio devices. Luckily, LeEco includes a pair of USB-C headphones in the box.

But the FHD display and the lack of a headphone jack can likely be forgotten when you realize that the Le Pro 3 will be available for just $399 when it launches in the United States on November 2nd. That’s a hell of lot of performance and features for not a lot of money — especially when you consider that the 5.5-inch Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus start at $769 with 32GB of internal storage. If that wasn’t enough, LeEco is offer a limited-time $99 rebate which drops the price down to an unheard of $299.

LeEco might not be a highly recognizable name in the United States at this point, but the company could grab quite a bit of attention with this bargain basement Android flagship.
