Lenovo IdeaPad 330, 330S, And 530S Laptops Arrive Promising Performance And Value Starting At $249

Lenovo has tossed a slew of new entries onto the laptop market including the IdeaPad 330, IdeaPad 330S, and the IdeaPad 530S. The starter systems in the new line are the IdeaPad 330 machines offered in 14, 15, and 17-inch screen sizes. Among the sizes are different screen and processor configurations with prices that start at $249.99.

The line tips the scales at 4.6-pounds for the basic system and features a case made from plastic. A bunch of colors are offered to let you choose what matches your style including platinum grey, onyx black, mint green, midnight blue, blizzard white, and chocolate. Not all colors are offered in all screen sizes. The onboard audio systems are 1.5W speakers with Dolby audio tech.

Processors in the range include starter Celeron Dual Core N4000 with integrated graphics on basic machines and higher-end units can be fitted with up to an 8th gen Intel Core i7-8750H and GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. Some machines have touchscreens, fingerprint readers, and DVD drives. 14-inch 330 notebooks have HD resolution, 15-inch have HD+ resolution, and 17-inch have full HD resolution options.

The next series is the IdeaPad 330S aiming for a mix of power, portability, and price. The 330S starts at 3.5 pounds and has a 0.7-inch frame. It gets a more premium feel than the base 330 and comes in platinum grey, midnight blue, rose pink, blizzard white, and iron grey. This series starts at $499.99 and comes in 14 or 15-inch offerings.

The screens have IPS technology, keyboards are backlit, and 2W audio systems with Dolby Audio tech. The 330S can be fitted with up to an 8th gen Core i7 processor and GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. 

The top of the line for the new IdeaPad offerings is the IdeaPad 530S starting at $799.99. This notebook has an all-aluminum polished chassis in onyx black, copper, liquid blue, and mineral grey colors. Screen sizes are 14 or 15-inch IPS with Full HD resolution. The 14-inch version is offered with a 2560 x 1440 display, features a backlit keyboard, 8th Gen Core processors, and SSD storage. Graphics are NVIDIA GeForce MX130 or MX150, a fingerprint reader is optional, and the audio system has Dolby Audio with Harman speakers.

All the notebook models have Windows 10 Home, Wi-Fi, USB ports, HDMI, card readers, and more. Pricing and availability are below:
