Lenovo Invades MWC With YOGA 710, Flex 4 Convertible Notebooks And TAB3 Tablets

Lenovo is no stranger to Mobile World Congress, and today the Chinese OEM announced a revised family of convertible notebooks and tablets that are aimed at the consumer market. The new reveals include devices in the YOGA, Flex, ideapad and TAB product families.

Kicking things off, we have the new YOGA 710 series, which includes convertible notebooks available in 11-inch and 14-inch form-factors (both with a FHD resolution). The 11-inch model can be equipped with up to an Intel Core m5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, while the larger 14-inch model can accommodate up to an Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and an optional NVIDIA GeForce discrete GPU.

The 11-inch and 14-inch YOGA 710 convertibles, which weigh 3 pounds and 3.5 pounds respectively, can be used in Laptop, Stand, Tent and Tablet modes, while both have runtimes of up to 8 hours.

Joining the new YOGA 710 series are 14-inch and 15-inch Flex 4 convertibles. Compared to their predecessors, these convertibles have been designed with a 50 percent improvement in battery life (now up to 8.5 hours) and even lighter frames, which is welcome news to mobile warriors. The 3.85-pound 14-inch model and 4.85-pound 15-inch model can be configured with up to a sixth generation Core i7 processor and AMD’s Radeon R7 M460 2GB discrete graphics solution.

Moving on to tablets, there’s the 10-inch ideapad MIIX 310 which offers a 2-in-1 design that provides up to 10 hours of battery life. Up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage are offered, and you can configure the tablet with a FHD display if you choose. The ideapad MIIX 310 is powered by an Intel Atom X5 8300 processor and runs Windows 10.

The 11-inch and 14-inch YOGA 710 will be available in May priced from $499 and $799 respectively. The 14-inch and 15-inch Flex 4 will debut a month later with prices starting at $599 and $699 respectively. The ideapad MIIX 310 bows in June for $229.

Lenovo is also announcing the TAB3 10 for business users, along with the TAB3 7 and TAB3 8 for families. The TAB3 10 Android 6.0 Marshmallow tablet features a 10.1-inch FHD display and weighs in a 1.12 pounds. It’s powered by a meager 1.3GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM (3GB optional) and up to 64GB of internal storage (a microSD slot is included for further expansion). You’ll find an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front, and a 7000mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of battery life.

On the opposite end of the spectrum are the TAB3 7 and TAB3 8, which are aimed at families. Both feature kid-friendly interfaces and a kids mode that caps the amount of time that can be spent on the device. Like a number of new tablets that have been released recently, both tablet feature an Adaptive Display that can filter out harsh blue light which can be hard on your eyes. Both the TAB3 7 and TAB3 8 feature 1GHz quad-core processor, 2MP/5MP front/rear cameras and optional LTE connectivity.

The TAB3 10, TAB3 7 and TAB3 8 are priced from $199, $129 and $99 respectively. All models will be available in June.
