Lenovo Unveils Yoga C630 Snapdragon 850 Windows 10 PC With A 30% Performance Lift, 25-Hr Battery
This year, however, Lenovo is launching the Yoga C630 WOS (Windows on Snapdragon). Thanks to the Snapdragon 850 processor running the show, Lenovo is promising a 30 percent boost in overall performance compared to the previous-generation Snapdragon 835. We've seen some early benchmarks that show some performance improvements, but nothing approaching a 30 percent gain -- yet. The SoC comes backed with either 4GB of 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage.
The Yoga C630 features a fanless chassis, and comes in at just 12.5mm thick and weighs just 2.64 pounds. Front and center is a 13.3-inch Full HD display which can flip and fold (living up to the Yoga name). If we have one niggle with the design, it’s the rather thick bezel beneath the display when in laptop mode.
The Yoga C360 comes equipped with two USB-C ports and a traditional USB 3.0 port. In addition, given its "Always Connected" moniker, the convertible is equipped with a Snapdragon X20 LTE modem, which provides gigabit download speeds (1.2Gbps). Other features include an integrated fingerprint reader and an optional Lenovo Pen2 stylus.
But perhaps the big standout feature of the Yoga C630 will likely be its battery life. Lenovo is promising 25+ hours of battery life in Windows 10 S (the Miix 630 could "only" muster 20 hours), which can be directly attributed to the power-sipping ARM SoC design.
U.S. pricing hasn’t been announced at this point, but the Yoga C630 will land in September.
