LG Google Nexus 5 (2015) Leaks Into View, September 29 Rumored Announcement

Rumor has it Google will introduce its next Nexus handsets at the end of this month. Until then, you can expect more speculation and supposedly leaked information, the latter of which we always take with more than a few grains of salt. That includes a photo making the rounds that purportedly shows the final design of Google's forthcoming Nexus 5 (2015) smartphone.

The snapshot of the supposed final iteration comes courtesy of AndroidPit, which itself received the image from an unnamed but "trusted source." It looks nearly identical to that of a previously leaked image that was claimed to be LG's 5.2-inch handset, which is one of two versions rumored to be production. The other is a 5.7-inch model reportedly being built by Huawei.

If you look closely at the shadowing, you can see that the rear camera lens is slightly protruded. You can also identify a dual-LED flash, laser auto-focus, and what in all likelihood is a fingerprint scanner (the circular section directly below the camera sensor).

What you see above is said to be an actual shot of the device itself and not a press rendering. Unfortunately it didn't come with a spec sheet, though based on prior reports, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will feature a 5.2-inch display with a Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 5MP front camera, 12.3MP rear camera, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, USB Type-C port, and a 2,700 mAh battery. It might also debut with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
