Lindsay Lohan Continues On With Lawsuit Against GTA V Developer, Files 67-Page Complaint
Back in July, Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against Grand Theft Auto V developer Rockstar Games. In her lawsuit, the actress claimed that a GTA V character named Lacey Jonas resembled her in looks and shared a similar voice. Now, Lohan has filed a 67-page complaint, an amended version of the original 10-page complaint, against publisher Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games for using her likeness.
The complaint features 45 pages of pictorial evidence that includes a picture of one of the game discs that shows a blonde woman wearing a red bikini and making a peace sign that supposedly bears a resemblance to the actress. The complaint states that the publisher “used a look-a-like model to evoke the persona and image” of Lohan that is similar to a photograph taken of her in 2007.
The file also pointed out that Take-Two used the bikini-clad character to sell merchandise and for advertising stating, "The Defendants were in the business of selling games as opposed to artists displaying artwork in galleries for profit where unauthorized images or portraits of individuals were reproduced in limited editions as opposed to the mass production for commercial promotion and financial gain."
Back in August, Take-Two fired back at the lawsuit claiming it was being done “for publicity purposes” and was looking to have the lawsuit dismissed and the legal fees paid by Lohan.
