Mad Catz Ships Tritton Pro+ 5.1 Xbox 360 / PS3 Gaming Headset
Gaming headsets are a dime a dozen these days, but Mad Catz is hoping to break through the mire with its new Tritton Pro+ True 5.1. It's a surround sound headset that offers up Dolby Digital technology, and they're said to be an update to the Tritton AX Pro. These new cans will work with the Xbox 360 as well as Sony's PlayStation 3, and best of all, it's available starting today. In other words, you can get a set well before your holiday shopping deadline approaches. Here's a bit more about the tech within, straight from Mad Catz:

The PRO+ is capable of delivering an authentic Dolby Digital 5.1 experience though the use of eight individual drivers (four in each earcup). Advanced speaker separation and improved bass response drive precise audio effects to the gamer, ideal for competitive gaming. The PRO+ features a redesigned in-line Remote and Selectable Voice Monitoring (SVM), allowing users to choose if they hear their own voice through the headset, as well as sporting a new lightweight and flexible design.
