marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite

Marvel and Capcom are again teaming up so that nerds everywhere can settle life's important questions, such as who would win in a brawl, Iron Man in his spiffy suit or Ryu with his deadly hadouken? Such epic battles will be made possible in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, the upcoming cross-over fighting game that's due out for release sometime in late 2017.

The game will feature a variety of modes, including single player arcade, training, and mission modes, plus an immersive cinematic story mode that place players at the center of both universes as they duke it out against new forces a new unnamed villain.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will also feature online multiplayer gameplay. Capcom's first trailer gave a look at the 2v2 tag team gameplay that will be available, leading to some interesting partnerships, such as Mega Man X and Ryu. The developer promises a divers roster of fan favorite characters pulled from both universes. As of right now, only four have been confirmed—the three already mentioned plus Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers).

"Heroes and villains battle for supremacy in a timeless struggle set in the Marvel and Capcom universes. The original storyline answers the questions regarding the new clash and lets players step into the shoes of classic characters from both sides as they wage war against powerful forces in an attempt to defeat a new villain," Capcom says.

To make things more interesting, the game will feature Infinity Stones that provide unique advantages to the player. The ones representing time and power can be seen in the trailer. There will also be Infinity Stones for space, reality, soul, and mind.

Sony announced in a blog post that the game is currently in development and will launch to the PlayStation 4 across North America and Europe late next year. In a separate release, Marvel confirmed that it will release simultaneously to the Xbox One and Windows PCs.
