Mass Effect: Andromeda Cinematic Trailer Showcases Bad Guys, Follow-Up Video Details The Crew

With BioWare's Mass Effect: Andromeda set to launch in less than two months (March 21st, to be exact), we had a hunch that there would be an influx of trailers before then. As it happens, we were right! A couple of days ago, BioWare released a video that highlights the Pathfinder Team, which introduced the game's two playable characters, siblings Scott and Sarah Ryder:

Today, the developer follows-up with its second cinematic trailer. It has no special name, but we're introduced to the game's antagonist, although it's a very quick introduction. There's absolutely no new gameplay shown off in this trailer, but it's still well worth watching to get a feel for some of the environments you'll be exploring in the game:

Andromeda takes place some 600 years after the original three titles and is the first of the series to be set in an open world environment. If you've played games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Skyrim, you know just what such a design could entail (read: hundreds of game hours). As of this point, it doesn't appear that Andromeda will allow the importing of saved games from the older versions, as the previous ones have. This is probably a good thing given the lack of agreement from fans on how the previous title should have ended.

One reason you might want to replay Andromeda is thanks to the fact that when you play as one of the two siblings. While it's hard to say if any storylines will be missed if you don't play as both characters, having the option to play through from two different perspectives could be alluring.

Mass Effect Andromeda

As mentioned before, Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to release on March 21st, and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and of course Windows PCs.
