Microsoft Adds Multi-Window Support to OneNote for Android
Microsoft said its goal in updating OneNote for Android devices was to allow users to get more things done in less time. Towards that end, the latest version of OneNote for Android now includes an "Add to OneNote" feature, which allows users to add important things from any application on their Android device.
"Just look for the Share button in your favorite browser, news aggregator, or recipe application. Then select 'Add to OneNote' and OneNote will store the item for you and also make it available to you on all your device," Microsoft explained in a blog post announcing the update.
Alternately, you can capture everything that's on screen by taking a screenshot, tapping the Share button, and adding it to OneNote. The feature works with a variety of content types, including articles, webpages, images, videos, and files, Microsoft says.
In addition to the Add feature, devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3 that support multiple windows can launch OneNote in multi-window mode.
Microsoft said it added a few other minor features and "fixed several issues to provide and improved experience overall." If you want to give it a spin, you can download OneNote for Android from Google Play.
