Microsoft Announces Cross-Platform Online Gaming Service
Microsoft has decided to extend it's XBox Live service to multiple platforms under the name "Live Anywhere". The new system will integrate Microsoft's Windows Vista with cell phones, and their gaming consoles.
"In a demonstration, an Xbox 360 gamer using Live Anywhere was able to send an invitation to a friend on a PC. After the PC user agreed, the two connected for a cross-platform online gun battle."
Cross-platform gun battle, eh? So hopefully we can finally put a rest to the age old, Controller vs. Mouse & Keyboard, debate.
