Microsoft Debuts Fresh Election Features For Bing As Trump And Clinton Battle For The Presidency

Bing doesn’t exactly have the same star power as Google when it comes to search in the minds of most Americans, but that isn’t stopping Microsoft from emboldening its search engine with new functionality. Today, Microsoft is feeding Bing with a new tab called Campaign Landscape, which gives voters insight, statistics, and projections for the current election season. No matter if you're rooting for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, or ever Gary Johnson, there's plenty of data to pour over for folks that enjoy numbers and figures.

“In roughly three weeks, America will elect the 45th President of the United States of America,” writes the Bing team. “However, this unprecedented campaign year has left many voters with unanswered questions and undecided when it comes to Trump vs. Clinton.”

Bing, which is no slouch when it comes to predictions, currently offers its predictions for which candidate will win each state in the union, and this data is updated in real-time. For now, this real-time analysis is relegated to just the presidential race, but it will be updated soon to reflect current congressional races. You can even take a look at current polling data if that kind of thing interests you.

Another interesting new twist that’s been added to the Campaign Landscape is how much each candidate is spending on advertising on a state-by-state basis.  You’ll see how much money candidates have raised (and from what sources, including Super PACs) at the national level. There are also ways to easily see which candidate your state prefers, and how their support breaks down along gender lines and by age.

In addition, Microsoft is happy to point out that the Campaign Landscape is also home to top trending stories on the election and that you’ll be able to directly live stream the third presidential debate straight from Bing tomorrow night.

With all that being said, if you want Bing’s current prediction on the outcome of the presidential race (as of 12:30pm EST), here it is:
