Microsoft Offers Students A Free Xbox One With Surface Pro 4 Or Surface Book Purchase

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, right? High schoolers and especially college students often feel like their entire lives revolve around performing well in school and getting a leg up on the competition academically. So, it stands to reason that everyone needs a little bit of a breather from time to time to relieve some stress or to just simply “veg out” for a while.

Thankfully, it looks as though Microsoft is trying to kill two birds with one stone by offering a new promotion for students that purchase a brand new Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book. Microsoft is taking a combined $300 off the purchase of the Surface Pro 4/Surface Book and an Xbox One gaming console. This essentially makes the Xbox One free for customers.

Surface Book

Students gamers can choose from the entire family of Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book products, while the available Xbox One bundles include:

  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle (500GB)
  • Rainbow Six Siege Bundle (1TB)
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division Bundle (1TB)
  • Special Edition Quantum Break Bundle (500GB)
  • Spring Bundle (1TB)
  • LEGO Movie Videogame Bundle (500GB)

To sweeten the deal even further, Microsoft is giving you a choice of one of three free games (Just Dance 2016, The Crew, or Assassin’s Creed Unity) along with a free Xbox One Wireless Controller and a free $50 Microsoft Store gift card.

If you were already looking to get a Microsoft Surface tablet, this might be just enough to seal the deal. The bundles start at $898 for Surface Pro 4 (Intel Core m3/4GB RAM/128GB SSD) and an Xbox One and go up from there.

For those that may not be up to date on all the latest Surface news, Microsoft recently announced that it will discontinue the entry-level Surface 3 by the end of 2016. There’s no word yet on if there will be a Surface 4 follow-up to take its place.
