Microsoft Surface Membership Plans Allow Businesses To Finance New Convertibles
The Surface Membership option is for businesses only, not individuals. In addition to spreading out payments over a series of months, other perks include one-on-one personal training, member discounts, and phone support seven days a week. And on the warranty side of the equation, members benefit from an extended service plan that includes accidental damage protection.
Pricing starts at $32.99 per month for a Surface 3, $51.99 per month for a Surface Pro 4, and $79.99 per month for a Surface Book. Higher end configurations add to the cost, and of course choosing fewer months ups the payments, though it'll cost you more in the long run. For example, a Surface Book with a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage runs $79.99/month for a total cost of $2,399.70, though over the long haul of a 24 month plan ($89.99/month) you'll pay $2,159.76. For the 18 month option ($108.99/month), the long term cost is reduced to $1,961.82.
Microsoft is offering these payment plans through LiftForward, which handles the application process. Go here to get started (or to just poke around).
