Back in October, Microsoft launched its snazzy looking Surface Headphones, which are Bluetooth enabled and feature integrated support for the Cortana digital assistant. However, the headphones also came with a $349.99 price tag, which was a tough pill to swallow for a newcomer to the headphone market.

For those that liked the style and functionality of the Surface Headphones, but were put off by its price, we've got some good news for you. The Microsoft Store is currently discounting the headphones by $100, which means they now ring up at just $249.99. That's still a bit on the high side, but puts it more in line with comparable cans from Beats (among other entries in the over-the-ear headphone market).

The Surface Headphones feature a total of four beam-forming microphones, another four microphones with active noise cancellation technology, 40mm free-edge speaker drivers, passive noise cancellation (up to 40 dB), active noise cancellation (up to 30db) and can last up to 15 hours per charge. If you prefer a wired connection, a 3.5mm audio cable is included.

Microsoft hasn't indicated how long this special pricing will last, but we'd suggest that you strike while the iron's hot before the company decides to pull the rug from under you. You can grab them from the Microsoft Store by clicking the following the link.

In other Surface hardware news, it’s been reported that Microsoft is looking to expand its headphone lineup with the introduction of Surface Buds later this year. These wireless earbuds would also feature Cortana integration and would go head-to-head with the Apple AirPods and Samsung Galaxy Buds.
