Minecraft mania is expanding to yet another platform; this time it’s making an appearance on the fourth generation Apple TV. Apple first revealed that Minecraft would be coming to Apple TV at the October event that introduced us to the 2016 family of MacBook Pro notebooks.

The incredibly popular open-world sandbox game is priced at $19.99 and is available to download directly froth App Store in “all regions” according to Owen Jones, Mojang's Director of Creative Communications. That price of entry will get you the game along with a number of DLC packs that have been released including Holiday 2015, Town Folk, City Folk skin packs along with Plastic, Natural, Cartoon, and Festive 2016 mash-ups.

You’ll be happy to know that Minecraft Apple TV Edition also includes the Ender Update, which launched today for Minecraft Pocket Edition (free for iOS) and Windows 10 Edition. It should be noted, however, that Minecraft Apple TV Edition doesn’t yet support Xbox Live or Minecraft Realms, although Jones says Mojang will “update the game with those features in the near future.”

Early last month, Microsoft announced the official launch of Minecraft Education Edition, which is priced at $5 per user, per year. Microsoft boasted that 50,000 educators and students took part in the early access program, which helped to provide valuable feedback to the development team.
