Call of Duty Modern Warfare Gunsmith Weapon Customization Teased On Video

Back in May, Activision unveiled the reboot of the classic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare shooter complete with ray tracing-enabled graphics. Since then it has announced the new Modern Warfare 4K gunfight mode. Activision is now teasing another new feature for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare courtesy of a new gunsmith teaser.

Gunsmithing will allow players to customize their two main Loadout weapons. Each of the primary and secondary weapons can be augmented to give players the exact type and style of firepower for any multiplayer game mode. Each of those weapons has nine areas that can be augmented and customized.

Customization areas include the muzzle, lasers, optic, stock, rear grip, magazine, underbarrel, barrel, or a perk. Among the options for those customization points will be a muzzle brake, balanced suppressor, scout combat optic, lightweight stock, CQB grip, corp combat and holo sight.

Lots of Modern Warfare fans are waiting in anticipation for the multiplayer universe gameplay premiere. The premiere will happen on August 1, 2019, at Twitch.tv/CallofDuty. Activision does promise additional information on the game via its blog in the coming weeks.  Screenshots and gameplay video seen so far make the remastered game looks fantastic.

The official launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set for October 25; the game will land for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on that date. One persistent rumor is that the game will have a battle royale mode. Infinity Ward has been mum on that possibility, but with the popularity of battle royale games, it would be more of a surprise for the game to lack battle royale.
