Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been on the market since late last month. That has given avid gamers enough time to play the game and figure out the in and outs of what works... and what doesn't. So far, there is a list of weird quirks that have surfaced about the game. One of those quirks deals with the recoil of some of the games more powerful weapons. Usually, when a player crouches, their weapon is more accurate.

However, some Modern Warfare players have found that certain weapons are less accurate when crouching. The weapons that have less accuracy when crouched includes the Kilo 141 assault rifle, M-13 assault rifle, and the MP-5 submachine gun.

The issue with recoil when crouching is highlighted in the video above. At this time, it's unclear if the less accurate fire when crouched is a bug or if the guns are just enhanced to work better for hip-fire. The double-barrel 725 shotgun in the game also has a absurdly long-range, which is quite odd for that type of weapon.

The weapon has a mod that adds a choke able to keep the buckshot in a very tight radius giving it deadly accuracy from a long distance. The weapon has been proven to be quite effective in the game as it only takes one hit to take a player out. The shotgun can also be fitted with upgrades like the monolithic suppressor and the extended barrel, both of which extend the range.

When fitted with a 4x scope, the result is a very effective sniper rifle. It remains to be seen if an update from the devs will nerf the weapon in the future. The video in the tweet above appears to show that the range of the weapon is a bug. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has proven to be very popular so far with gamers, making $600 million in its first 3 days.
