Motorola Atrix 4G Pricing Info Surfaces

Motorola has made big claims for its upcoming Atrix 4G smartphone, calling it the world's most powerful smartphone. Indeed, the Atrix 4G has impressive specs, but many have expected that power to come at a price. Now that pricing details have leaked for the Atrix 4G, you may be pleasantly surprised or you may be disappointed, depending on what you were expecting to see from this smartphone.

According to a (now unavailable) Amazon product page and a Costco inventory screen, the high-end Atrix 4G smartphone could be available for as little as $150. That's a terrific price, considering most of today's high-end smartphones have a customary launch price of $199.

There's a catch, however: the accessories for the Atrix 4G, such as the laptop dock and desktop dock could run another $150. Combined, this would make for a total of $300 for the bundle, which makes it considerably more expensive than other smartphones. Of course, you'll also get additional functionality from the accessories as well as a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 4-inch screen, 1GB of RAM, and a fingerprint reader from the phone itself.

The Atrix 4G is expected to launch from AT&T at the end of February. Amazon has taken its Atrix 4G Web page down. Motorola and AT&T have not confirmed pricing for the Atrix 4G.
