Motorola Moto G4 Plus Ships With Marshmallow, But Is Upgradeable To Android O In 2017
Many are skeptical that the Moto G4 Plus will indeed receive the Android O upgrade, especially since Android O has yet to be announced. Motorola has promised upgrades before, but later dropped the ball. In October 2014, Motorola promised that the DROID Ultra, MAXX, and Mini would all receive Android 5.0 Lollipop. Motorola failed to release the 5.0 update to its DROID line, but said in January of 2015 that it was all happening “soon.” It once again
The Moto G4 Plus has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, a 3000 mAh battery, TurboPower fast charging, 16MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and laser autofocus, and a fingerprint sensor. It also includes 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1, LTE connectivity, microUSB connectors, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, with the latter two doubling on-board RAM to 4GB.
The Moto G4 Plus will be launched in mid-June. There are currently no U.S. prices available.
