Updated: Motorola's Retrotastic Moto RAZR Folding Phone Emerges In These Leaked Images
The first of the leaked images comes from our usual go-to when it comes to unreleased smartphones: Evan Blass. Blass tweeted what looks to be a somewhat dark promotional image of the new Moto RAZR being opened. From its overall style to its beefy "chin", it's a dead ringer for the Moto RAZR V3. We can also make out a circular camera on the back of the display.
Not to be outdone, Mobielkopen has posted its own procured images that show the device from multiple images, confirmed that it has a secondary external display for interacting with the device when it is folded closed (like the Samsung Galaxy Fold). The overall vibe that we're getting from the design is that this is retro done right -- harking back to a legend in the history of mobile phones while applying modern flourishes.
According to the latest round of speculation regarding specs, the new Moto RAZR is expected to feature a 6.2-inch folding OLED display (which unfolds vertically, giving you a tall, portrait-style layout), Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and two RAM/storage configurations: 4GB + 64GB or 6GB + 128GB. It's also reported that the smartphone has a 2730 mAh battery, while the secondary display is alleged to carry a resolution of 800x600.
It has been rumored that the Moto RAZR will be priced at $1,500, which while expensive, would undercut rivals like the aforementioned $1,980 Galaxy Fold. Whatever the case, all will be revealed at an event that Motorola is holding on November 13 to officially unveil the device.
