Chocolates, roses, and diamonds are the go-to gift items for Valentine's Day, but if you're looking to shake things up, Motorola's making it easy to gift your significant other a smartphone next month. Or give to yourself -- either way, the deal is for $140 off a purchase of $499.99 (or more) or $50 off a purchase of $249.99 on Motorola's website.
You'll need a promo code to take advantage of the sweet savings, which Motorola will begin handing out next Monday, February 2 at 11 AM Central. Once you have your promo code, you can apply it towards various Motorola devices and accessories, including the Moto X (2nd Gen.) and Moto 360 -- just toss them into your virtual cart and apply the code before February 14 at 10:59 PM Central.

Alternately, you can skip registering and still save some money, just not as much. Without the promo code, Motorola will shave $100 offer purchases of $499.99 and up, and $35 off a purchase of $249.99.
