Move Over Moto 360! Huawei’s Gorgeous Android Wear Smartwatch Now Has The Floor

Motorola dazzled us all when it unveiled the Moto 360 nearly a year ago. With its classic, round shape (which was marred slightly by its flat-tire display shape, that facilitated the inclusion of an ambient light sensor), it was easily the best looking of the first generation Android Wear devices. LG tried to one up the Moto 360 with a fully rounded display on the LG G Watch R, but it featured a more “utilitarian” design and a thicker bezel.

The upcoming LG Watch Urbane is a step in the right direction towards capturing the simplistic beauty of the Moto 360, but a new smartwatch from an unlikely source has just leaked ahead of the Mobile World Congress.

The 42mm Huawei Watch takes the industrial design of the Moto 360 and melds it with the completely circular display of the G Watch R and Watch Urbane. In addition, it features a stainless steel housing which will be available in natural, black, and gold finishes. Various metal and leather bands (available in 21mm and 18mm widths) will be available to choose from, and the Huawei Watch will feature a sapphire glass covering and a heart rate sensor.

Not much else is known about the device now other than the fact that it runs Android Wear. But I have the feeling that we’ll be hearing A LOT more about this device next week and I simply can’t wait. Until then, check out these two promotional videos which were posted to Huawei’s YouTube channel way ahead of schedule:
