MSI Unveils New Mobile Workstations With NVIDIA Quadro RTX And Intel 9th Gen Core CPUs

MSI just announced several upgraded workstations. All of the new workstations will incorporate NVIDIA Quadro RTX graphics and 9th Gen. and Intel Core i9 processors. The lineup also includes the MSI WS65, the first laptop that is powered by a NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 graphics card.

MSI will soon release their WS65, WS75, WP65, and WE75 mobile workstations. Each workstation is now lighter with ultra-thin bezels, includes a 4K screen, and incorporates MSI’s Creator Center software, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, and ANSYS. He devices also adhere to the United States Military Standard (MIL-STD 810G). The device are able to withstand severe conditions, including extreme temperatures and shock, MSI insists that these workstations are perfect for working professionals like architects and animators.

Users will be the most impressed with the devices’ NVIDIA Quadro RTX graphics and 9th Gen. Intel Core i9 processors. Eric Kuo, President of NB BU remarked, “The combination of Intel’s 9th Gen processors and NVIDIA's Quadro RTX graphics card not only adds performance, but also enables users to create and design the ideas that will change the world on the go.”

MSI is the most proud of their WS65 workstation. It features a NVIDIA Quadro graphics card (6GB GDDR5), 32GB DDR4, and 512GB SSD. It measures 14.08 x 9.75 x 0.69 inches, weighs 4.15 pounds, and includes a black aluminum chassis. Kuo also remarked that the device has “...TPM 2.0 crypto-processor technology, a white backlit keyboard, Thunderbolt 3.0 compatibility, and can run for more than 9 hours.”

The three other new devices are also very interesting.The WE75 workstation can include up to a NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 (6GB GDDR6), DDR4-2666 or DDR4-2400, an M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, a second M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD with RAID 0 & RAID 1 support, and a 2.5” HDD. The device measures 15.63 x 10.57 x 1.08 and weighs 5.73 pounds.

The WP65 workstation is the first device in MSI’s new WP series. It incorporates a NVIDIA Quadro P620 graphics card (4GB GDDR5), 16GB DDR4, and 512GB NVMe SSD. It measures 14.13 x10.0 x0.85 inches, weighs 4.1 pounds and features up to 7 hours of battery life.

The WS75 workstation features a NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 (8GB GDDR6), DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM, two M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, and a third M.2 NVMe PCI-e SSD with RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 support. It measures 15.59 x 10.21 x 0.74 inches, weighs 5.03 pounds, and includes up to 8 hours of battery life. All three devices include a fingerprint reader, matrix display and mosaic mode, a full size backlit white keyboard, and a three year a warranty.

The devices will be available by the end of the month and prices will range from $1,400 for the WP65 to nearly $4,000 for the WS65.
