Mushkin 1GB DDR-2, Gigabyte MoBo and Others

Welcome back brothers and sisters.  With the day drawing to a close and a good majority of the HH labs shut down for the evening, it looks as if it is time for your nightcap.  It may not be as big as our normal "last call" of the day, but it should tie you over until the AM ;)

 Mushkin 1GB PC2-4200 DDR-2 Memory Review @ PCStats

"In this review, PCStats will be testing a set of new 512MB Mushkin PC2-4200 DDR-2 RAM modules, for a total of 1GB. These green single-sided DIMMs are wrapped in black aluminum heatspreaders, and fall into the PC4200 class. They are rated to run at 266 MHz with 4-4-4-12 memory timings, at 1.8V. The memory runs a bit conservatively considering it's Mushkin, but then again it seems like most memory manufacturers are being cautious right now."

 Gigabyte GA-8TRX330-L motherboard review @ OCModShop

"Now another well-known graphics card maker is making motherboard chipsets, this time it's ATI with their RX330 chipset for Socket 478 (Pentium 4) processors. The board features 4 DIMM slots for memory, and are dual-channel, an AGP 8x slot, 5 PCI slots, and a Realtek 100Mbit Ethernet controller. Serial ATA-150 support is provided by ATI's own SB300 I/O controller. The new RX330 offers no integrated graphics core as one might anticipate, as do some nForce motherboards."

 RaidMax Cobra Gaming Case @ Viper Lair

"Cooling is very well done, but we think they could have substituted the sheer number of 80mm fan options with fewer larger fans. While the cooling is efficient, it is noisy if you plan on using all the available fan mounts. Granted, given the Cobra case is aimed at gamers, the noise will probably not be much of an issue."

 Logitech MX510 Optical Mouse Review @ mikhailtech

"This is by far the best looking mouse I've seen. It's not overly flashy and doesn't have distracting LEDs. As a matter of fact, the optical LED is hidden so well that once the mouse is on a surface, you can't tell if it's lit even with the lights off. The MX510 comes in either dark blue or dark red. The top has a very peculiar holographic effect which gives the impression of folded fabric beneath the seemingly clear surface. Because this is a random design, no two mice are the same. Even more interesting is the lack of buttons; the single top piece is so well built that you can click on the left side without ever disturbing the right. This gives the impression of two separate buttons, but better since your hand never leaves the surface."
