New iPad Gets Torn Down, Innards Shown Around

Ever wondered what was inside your iPad? Plenty of people have broken into those, but what about the innards in Apple's new, shiny, high-resolution iPad? There's a team breaking into that, too. iFixit, the crew who routinely opens up new gadgetry in order to photograph and journal what's really going on inside, has managed to get a new iPad. The only with the crazy 2048 x 1536 resolution. And they've not wasted a moment breaking into it.

So far, it's looking like a Samsung display in the unit, as well as the typical RAM (1GB on the new model), A5X processor, etc. Granted, most of this is for nerds only, but why else would you be reading it. Have a look at the Via link for the gory details!
