As the retail launch for the Nintendo Switch draws near, Nintendo has begun ramping up its advertising efforts to drum up excitement over the unique console. Don't worry, Nintendo doesn't show any of hits naughty bits in the ad, though you can catch a glimpse of the game.

Kudos to Nintendo for not shying away from what will undoubtedly be one of the more popular scenarios for using the Switch, at least when playing solo. When you're gathered around friends on the couch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will support multiplayer gaming with your big screen TV divided into four sections. That is also portrayed in the commercial, as is playing with fellow students in a college lecture hall. We're not sure how the professor might feel about that, but hey, Nintendo's apparently keeping it real.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will support up to four players on single television no matter how big (or small) it is, and up to 8 players in local play.
