Nokia 8 Leak Reveals Android Flagship’s Zeiss Dual Camera System
Here is the best look yet that we have received to date showcasing the upcoming Nokia 8 flagship Android smartphone. The smartphone, which is produced by Finnish company HMD Global, will be going head-to-head against the brightest stars in the Android smartphone market including the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6.
However, unlike those aforementioned smartphones, the Nokia 8 doesn’t go for a bezel-free design. Instead, you’ll find large bezels flanking the top and bottom of the screen along with a traditional home and navigation buttons.
However, perhaps the biggest news to come out of this leak is a clear look at the dual cameras on the back of the Nokia 8. The dual-camera system is accompanied by an LED flash unit. And as you can see by the branding, both 13MP cameras come with Carl Zeiss optics.
"Collaborating with Zeiss is an important part of our commitment to always deliver the very best experience for our customers,” said Arto Nummela, CEO of HMD Global earlier this month. “Our fans want more than a great smartphone camera, they want a complete imaging experience that doesn’t just set the standard but redefines it. Our fans expect it and, together with Zeiss, we’re delivering it—co-developed imaging excellence for all.”

Given the reputation that Nokia built for itself with high-quality cameras using Zeiss optics on devices like the 808 PureView and Lumia 1020, we have high hopes for the Nokia 8.
Seeing as how the Nokia 8 will be going up against the current crop of 2017 Android flagships, it will have specs to match. The Nokia 8 will reportedly feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 to 6GB of RAM, and a 5.3-inch QHD display.
It’s rumored that the Nokia 8 will launch on July 31st and will be available in Blue, Steel, Gold/Blue or Gold/Copper.
